Sgt. Joe Mormena, USA (ret), 607 Mason St., born in Italy Feb. 15, 1896, passed away Wed., July 29, 1970 in a local hospital at the age of 74 yrs. Requiem Mass will be offered Mon, Aug. 3rd in Dodd Field Chapel at 9 A.M. Interment will be in Ft. Sam Houston Natl. Cemetery with full military honors. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Bertha Mormena; daughter, Mrs. John S. (Rose) Cullen, Tucson, Ariz.; 2 grandsons, several nieces and nephews. Sgt. Mormena is a member of The American Legion, Alamo Post No. 2 and has been a resident of San Antonio for the past 25 yrs. Services under the direction of Alamo Funeral Home.
