    Funeral services for James Clark George, 49, of 1016 South Woodland, Independence, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday at the Shell chapel. Mr. George died yesterday of an apparent heart attack as he was driving in front of 6126 Independence. He leaves his wife, Millie George, a son, James T. George, and a daughter, Mary Janell George, all of the home.

    Millie O. George, 83, Grain Valley, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at her home.

    Mrs. George was born Oct. 20, 1914, in Burleson County, Texas. She retired as a registered nurse from the Osteopathic Hospital in 1979. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. George in 1955.

    Her survivors include a son, James T. George, Gravois Mills, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary J. and Charles Daniels of the home; a sister, Lenora Payne, Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Mary's Hospice, Blue Springs.

    Mrs. Rosie V. Bednar, 4211 Bellvue, died at her home Wednesday. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lenora Payne of Austin, Mrs. Rosalie Marek of Caldwell, and Mrs. Millie George of Kansas City, Mo., one son, F. J. Bednar of Caldwell; two brothers, Frank Drgac and Pete Drgac of Caldwell, and six grandchildren.

    The body was sent to Harvey-Schiller Funeral Home in Caldwell by Cook Funeral Home for services and burial.
