    Mr. Doug L. Emory, age 69, of Vick Dr. Ellijay, died Saturday January 26, 2013.

    Mr. Emory was born May 20,1943 in Smyrna ,GA the son of the Late T.A. and Alice Lowery Emory. He worked as an auto tech for America?s Service Station and was a former member of the Jaycee?s in TX, and served in the US Navy.

    Survivors Include:
    Wife of 23 years: Mary Emory of the home; Son: Thad Emory, TX, Daughters: Callie Jordan, TX, Tonya Klein, Ballground; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Brother: Gary Emory, Rome; Sisters: Linda Caldwell, Canton, Judy Thrasher, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 31, 2013 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edmund Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Emory Family Cemetery.

    The family will meet with friends Wed from 2pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

    Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Friday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel for Raymond McCuistion, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 in a local hospital.

    L. G. Wilden will officiate. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery.

    McCuistion was born Feb. 16, 1920 in Olney, a son of the late Ray and Nora Sutherlen McCuistion. He married Marion Elnora Slater Jan 13, 1940 in Breckenridge.

    A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, when he served as a medical - surgical tech on a hospital ship, he had been a resident of Vernon since 1946. He worked for Verntex Creamery and Dr. Pepper Bottling CO. and later owned and operated a service station. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing.

    Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Karon Anderson of Vernon; two sons, Fred McCuistion and Richard McCuistion, both of San Angelo; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

    A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

    Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Funeral services for Marion Elnora McCuistion, age 89, who died on Monday December 24, 2012 were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday December 26, 2012 at Eastview Cemetery under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home

    McCuistion was born Sept.1, 1923 in Smackover Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Fred Slater and the late Lorene Harrison Slater. She married Raymond Ney McCuistion on Jan. 13, 1940 in Breckenridge. He preceded her in death on Dec 22, 2004. She had lived in Vernon since 1946. She was past treasurer of the local garment workers union. She was a member of the Latter Day Saints. She was a homemaker.

    She is survived by two sons Fred "Butch" McCuistion and Richard McCuistion, both of San Angelo; one daughter Karon Anderson of Vernon; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons and one great grandson
