    Richelle Diana CasteBlanco, 29, of Corpus Christi died on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.

    She was born in Corpus Christi to Harry Layton and Diana White on Nov. 20, 1979. She received a Palomar education in the study of phlebotomy and enjoyed working in the Hospital and Health care profession.

    Richelle was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Eunice Ferguson; grandfathers, Harry Layton Sr. and Richard Gross Sr.

    Richelle is survived by her husband, Josh CasteBlanco; her father, Harry Layton Jr. (Monica); her mother, Diana White (Jeff); sister, Veronica Lowry (Todd); stepbrother, Mike Alto; two nephews, Kristopher and Matthew Lowry; two grandmothers, Nell Layton and Audria Johnston (Ralph); one sister-in-law, Jessica Blanco-Busam (Michael); three uncles, Floyd Layton (Charlie), Michael Layton (Terry), and Richard Gross (Sarah); three aunts, Cassandra Carte (Philip), Debbie Salge (Robert), and Denise Salinas (Mario); and numerous cousins and friends. Richelle had a great passion for saving pets and bringing them home to call them her own; her special pets were Buttercup, Oreo, Flower and Zombie.

    Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Violet.

    Pallbearers were Robert Salge, Richard Gross, Floyd Layton, Michael Layton Sr., Chad Layton and Michael Layton Jr.

    Bill Gross, 68, longtime resident of Andrews, died Sunday at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1923, in Seymour. He married Betty Turner Jan. 24, 1955, in Lovington, N.M.

    Gross moved to Andrews in 1947 from Seagraves. He was owner and operator of Bill's Garage. He was a mechanic. He was a Baptist and a member of the Andrews Fire Department.

    Survivors included his wife; two sons, James Jones of An­drews and Marvin Jones of Henderson; four daughters, Claudia Helms and Geraldine Helms, both of Odessa; Wanda Edmiston of Eldorado and Diane Page of San Angelo; five brothers, J.B. Gross, Wesley Gross, Leslie Gross, Lester Gross and Lonnie Gross, all of Andrews; a sister, Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; 17 grandchildren; and three great­ grandchildren.

    Billie E. Wallace, 75, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at Shannon Medical Center.

    Family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with Richard Leake officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

    Billie was born July 19, 1927, in Littlefield, Texas, to W.O. and Laura Mae Bean. She was a resident of San Angelo since 1962, a waitress and housewife. Billie was married to W.R. "Bill" Wallace on Oct. 12, 1965. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death.

    Survivors include her husband W.A. "Bill" Wallace of San Angelo; children, Claudia Helms of Odessa, Wanda Edmiston and husband, Phil, of Eldorado, Diana Gross of San Angelo, Geraldine Helms and husband, James, of Odessa, Brenda Smith and husband, Gary, of San Angelo and Rowe Wallace and wife, Kay, of San Angelo; brothers, Vess Bean and wife, Irene, of Levelland and Connie Bean and wife, Betty, of Monahans; sister, Darla Bryant and husband, Buster, of San Angelo; 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be San Angelo Police Department officers.

    The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Mohamad A. Ayass, Chaplain Jim Benson, John Hedges RN and all the fourth floor nurses and staff who walked through her door with special loving care.

    Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

    Buman Johnson Gross, age 65, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, November 8, 1963 in the Permian General Hosptial in Andrews, Texas. Gross had been in Amarillo where he became ill and was hospitalized and later transferred to Permian General Hospital in Andrews, Texas.

    He lived in the 600 block of SW 6th street and had been a resi­dent of Andrews for the past 18 years moving here from Seagraves. Gross had farmed and was a mechanic for most of his life. He was the founder of the Gross garage here.

    Gross was born in Cooper, Delta County, Texas, February 14, 1898.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Claudia Gross, one daughter, Mrs. Harold Bonham, of Kermit; six sons, all of Andrews, W. J. "Bill" Gross, J. B. Gross, Wesley Gross, Leslie Gross, Lester Gross, and Lonnie Gross; six half-brothers, Earnest McSwain, of Modesto, Cali­fornia, Russel McSwain, of Seagraves, Eldon McSwain, of Gore, Bert McSwain, of Amarillo, Frank McSwain, of Dimmitt, and Owen McSwain, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Other survivors include 21 grandchildren.

    Gross Services Slated Sunday

    ANDREWS (Special) - Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Second Baptist Church for Buman Johnson Gross, 65, a resident here 18 years who died at 1:30 a.m. Friday in a local hospital.

    The Rev. H. F. James, former pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church here, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Leon Snelson, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church.

    Burial will be in Andrews Cemetery under direction of Singleton Funeral Home.

    Survivors include his wife, Claudia; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Bonham, Kermint; six sons, W. J. (Bill), J. B., Wesley, Leslie, Lester and Lonnie, all of Andrews; six half brothers, Ernest McSwain, Modesto, Calif., Russell McSwain, Seagraves; Eldon McSwain, Goree; Bert McSwain, Amarillo; Frank McSwain, Dimmitt, and Owens McSwain, Oklahoma City; and 21 grandchildren.

    ANDREWS - Services for Claudia Irene Gross, 75, of Andrews, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Second Baptist Church with burial in Andrews Cemetery under the direction of Singleton Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Gross was found dead at her home about noon Sunday. Justice of the Peace G. A. Ragsdale pronounced her dead and ruled her death was from natural causes.

    She was born in Groesbeck Jan. 28, 1904, and had lived in Andrews 31 years, coming from Seagraves.

    Survivors include six sons, W.J. (Bill) Gross, Wesley Gross, Leslie Gross, Lester Gross and Lonnie Gross, all of Andrews, and J.B. Gross of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; two sisters, Etta High of Seagraves and Flora Sturgeon of Seymour; three brothers, Ernest Bryant of Andrews, Elward Bryant of Pasadena and Hillis Bryant of Texas City; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
