Obituary:

Funeral services for Mike Ryder, Jr will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Bethel Methodist Church, Deville La with the Rev. Billie Wayne Franks officiating. Burial will be in Paul Cemetery, Deville. Visitation was held August 20, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mr. Ryder, 61, of Deville, died Friday, August 17, 2012 in Alexandria.

He is preceded in death by his father Mike Ryder Sr., his brother; Jerry Ryder, his sister; Pamela Diane Stroud, his step father; Ray Briggs, step-brother; Don Briggs.

Survivors include his mother; Iona Ryder Briggs, two brothers Dale Ryder(Hilda), Donnie Ryder(Sonia) of Deville. Sister; Donna Gayle Vogel(Sherman) of Goldonna, La. Sons; Chris Ryder(Christie)) of Center Point, La, Robert Ryder of Pineville, La, and Mike Ryder III of Deville, La. Step-son B.J. Bordelon of Deville, La and daughter; Petina Jordan(Fred) of Seattle, Washington.And 8 grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve are, Marshall Franton, Dale Ryder, Jr, B.J. Bordelon, Kayde Bordelon, Chris Cheeks, and Jeffery Foss.

Mike loved the outdoors, riding his Harley Davidson Motor cycle, his 4 wheeler, hunting and fishing, and the strongest thing was his love of family. He also loved to play slots at the casino.
