    John M. Minter, III passed away on Monday, August 11, 2003 at home after an extended illness, with his wife and daughter by his side.

    John was born in Lafayette, LA on November 29, 1944.

    He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Minter, Jr.

    John leaves behind his loving wife, Jackie Minter; daughter, Michelle Bell, and grandson, Alex Bell; his mother, Louise Minter; sisters, Betty Baker and Nannette Phillips, and brothers, Thomas and Danny Minter also survive him. John loved and was loved by his many friends and neighbors and will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.

    John's hobbies were golfing and woodworking. His joy in life was in sharing his works of art with his many friends. John excelled as a storyteller and will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.

    FUNERAL MASS THURSDAY 10:00 A.M. OUR LADY OF THE ATONEMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH with Military Honors.
