    BOSSIER CITY, LA- Funeral services for William "Bill" Martin, Jr., 61, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Mike Hawkins, pastor of Heflin Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

    Mr. Martin entered into rest May 18, 2008 at Minden Medical Center. He was a Project Manager for Pro-Build Construction, Inc. and a resident of Bossier City since 1964.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Lilly Martin; and an infant son Jeremy Martin.

    Survivors include his daughter, Lilly Martin Bryan and husband Brandon of Bossier City, LA; granddaughter, Danielle James; one brother, Henry Martin and wife Renee' of New Orleans, LA ;two sisters, Kay Watts and husband Mike of Minden, LA; Clemy Moore and husband Todd of Bossier City, LA; four nephews and one niece.

    Pallbearers will be Brandon Bryan, Christopher James, Martin Watts, Michael Watts, Philip Elkins, Todd Moore.

    Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Moore.

    BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Roxanne Martin will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 2:30 PM, in the chapel of Boone Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Beck of Fellowship United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM. Ms. Martin passed away Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Christus Schumpert, Highland.

    She was born on May 12, 1947, in Salina, KS. Ms. Martin was employed by Northwestern State University for 25 years as an assistant professor and Christus Schumpert for the past 9 years. She was actively involved in the American Diabetes Association, and the American Arthritis Foundation. Roxanne loved spending time with her granddaughter, Danielle.

    Her father, Grover Kimball, and one son Jeremy Martin preceded her in death. Survving her is her daughter Lilly James and husband Chris; mother Patricia Kimball; sister Lynn Kimsey; brother Millard Kimball and wife Georgia; granddaughter, Danielle James; niece Andrea Henderson; nephew Marcus Kimball; great nephew Trey Henderson; and great niece Ashlynn Henderson.

    The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Roxanne Martin to the American Diabetes Association, American Arthritis Foundation, you may donate blood, or to a church of your choice.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Lilly H. Martin, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 9, 2004, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Carson LaCaze and Father Derrick Pawlowski officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park under the direction of Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton.

    Mrs. Martin passed away Saturday, March 6, at Christus Schumpert Grace Home in Shreveport after a battle with cancer. She was a homemaker, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Gold Wives.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Martin; parents, Henry and Clemie Holleman; and two brothers, George Holleman and Edward Holleman.

    She is survived by her four children, William S. "Bill" Martin Jr. of Bossier City, Henry N. Martin and wife Renee of New Orleans, Lilly "Kay" Watts and husband Michael of Heflin, and Clemy L. Moore and husband Todd of Bossier City; one sister, Kathryn Johnson of New Iberia; grandchildren, Myles Martin, Jenna Martin, Brandon Moore, Mikey Watts, Martin Watts, Lilly R. James; and one great-granddaughter, Dannielle R. James.

    Pallbearers will be William S. "Bill" Martin Jr., Michael Watts, Mikey Watts, Martin Watts, Todd Moore and John Gardner.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Christus Schumpert Cancer Center or Christ the King Catholic Church.

    Mrs. Jennie L. Martin Dies Tuesday at Ida

    Mrs. Jennie Lee Martin, 54, lifelong resident of Ida, died at her residence at 9 p.m. Tuesday of a heart attack.

    She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Lee Terry of Ida, and Mrs. Mable Gardner of Shreveport; two sons, Newton Martin of St. Martinsville, and M/Sgt. Scott Martin in the Air Force in Selma, Ala.; also seven grandsons and two granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Mae Sparks of Ida.

    Funeral arrangements in charge of Hanna Funeral Home of Vivian are incomplete. The body will be at the family residence in Ida.

    Mrs. Martin, a life-long resident of Ida, died at her residence at 9 p.m. Tuesday of a heart attack.
