Memorial Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel in Colleyville with Major Speights officiating. There will not be a graveside service. Visitation will be 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. David was preceded in death by his parents, John Paul and Faye Smart.     Janice Bremer Smart of Conroe, Texas passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born on May 9, 1941 in Houston, Texas, and spent her early years in the Galena Park area and graduated from Galena Park High School in 1959. Janice was active in school and church activities and enjoyed playing the piano, which she learned from her Father, Walter Bremer. Upon high school graduation she moved to Denton, Texas to attend Texas Women's University, where she majored in Art, graduating in 1963. During her time at TWU, she met and married David Smart in 1963.

    Janice spent the next phase of her life as a wife, homemaker and mom to her two children, Robert and Sharon. She stayed active with church and community activities, teaching children's Sunday School, and later becoming involved teaching English with the International Friends Ministry of First Baptist Church, Grapevine, Texas. She had a host of friends, who she enjoyed sharing a good meal or a fun conversation with. She loved her family and moved to Conroe, Texas in 2020 to be closer to them. The time spent close to family were the ones she cherished most.

    She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Miami Bremer and her husband, David Louis Smart.

    Janice is survived by son Robert Smart and wife Lori, her daughter Sharon Smart, her grandchildren John Smart and wife Lyndsey and Sara Ramirez and husband Connor, and her great grandchildren Emilyn Smart, Aiden Ramirez and Elijah Ramirez. She is also survived by her sister Mary Scott and husband W.D., and a host of other extended family and friends.

    The family would like to thank Devotion Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

    Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Reception at First Baptist Church, Conroe, Texas in Herrington Hall on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00pm.

    HOUSTON, Texas - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston for Mrs. W. W. "Miami" Bremer, 69, of Wimberly, Texas, who died Wednesday.

    Burial was in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Rev. J. B. Young officiated.

    Formerly of Houston, Mrs. Bremer was the daughter of the late C. J. and Mary LeBlanc of Lafayette. She was a graduate of USL (SLI), class of 1932, a member of the First Baptist Church of Wimberly, the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, Texas State Teacher's Association, and the National Education Association.

    Survivors include her husband, W. W. Bremer of Wimberly; two daughters, Mary Naomi Scott of San Antonio and Janice Smart of Dallas; a sister, Genevieve Davis of San Antonio; a brother, H. John LeBlanc of College Station; and four grandchildren.

    Clebert LeBlanc Expires in Rayne

    RAYNE, La. - Clebert Joseph LeBlanc, 74, retired Southern Pacific railroad section foreman, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday in the Rayne Branch hospital following an illness of three weeks.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Rayne Baptist Church and burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Lafayette. Until the hour of rites the body will remain at the Gossen Funeral Home here.

    Mr. LeBlanc had been a resident of Rayne for 55 years. He and his wife had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Spring. Mr. LeBlanc was a past master of Rayne Lodge 313, Free and Able Masons. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites Temple, and was active in the work of the Baptist Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Marie LeBleu; two sons, Howard of College Station, Tex., and Robert LeBlanc of Port Allen; two daughters, Mrs. W. W. Bremer of Galena Park, Tex., and Mrs. Harry Davis of Selfridge Air Force Base, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Pierre Landry, Mrs. Lillian Tanner, and Mrs. M. Doucet, all of Lafayette; and four grandchildren.

    Rayne Rites for Mrs. C. LeBlanc

    RAYNE, La. - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today for Mrs. Clebert LeBlanc, 81, the former Marie LeBleu, in the chapel of the Gossen Funeral Home here. Burial followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Lafayette.

    Mrs. LeBlanc, a native of Rayne, died Sunday in Bryan, Tex.

    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Bremer of Wimberly, Tex., and Mrs. Harry Davis of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; two sons, Howard LeBlanc of Bryan and Robert LeBlanc of Freeport, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Laurent Boudreaux of Rayne; five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
