    Clobus Romero, age 92, was called home to our heavenly Father on Sunday, August 17, 2008 in San Antonio. He was a resident of Warren, Texas, for many years, and resided in San Antonio over the past 8 months. He served in the Navy during WWII. Afterwards, he worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his son James David Rayner, Sr. He is survived by Edith, his wife of 54 years; as well as his son, David Clements Romero; grandchildren, James David Rayner, Jr., Heather Rayner, Mark Rayner, Scott Rayner, Kevein Rayner, Nancy Rayner, Merri Smith, Dana Brown, and David Cecil Romero. He was also blessed with 15 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. His selfless disposition and compassionate heart played an important role in his concern for the well being of his wife and others. He was known by all as a loving, caring, and genuine man. His legacy as a caring husband and friend will forever remain in our hearts. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday with Rev.
