    Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 3:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille.

    Heather Rae Gillock, 34, died on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Iberia Medical Center.

    Heather was born and raised in Lafayette, LA, and has lived in the Acadiana area for most of her life. Heather graduated from Acadiana High School in 1994, where she enjoyed cheerleading and excelled in speech and debate. She attended Sam Houston State University for two years in the study of Communications. Heather was known for her vibrant, outgoing personality and her loving, kind spirit. She was blessed with countless, cherished friendships throughout her life.

    Heather is survived by her great grandmother, Sarah Pierce Butcher (102 years old), her grandparents, Alvin "Tony" and Christina Toniette, her parents, Ronald and Jo Ann Gillock, her brother, Christopher Ryan Gillock, her two precious children, Madison Rae Mercke and Mason Anthony Toniette, her aunts, Karen Jean Toniette and Debra Lynn Gillock, her uncle Alvin "Buddy" Toniette, and a host of other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Heather was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Emic Anthony Butcher and her grandparents, Rex Reed and Doris Laverne Gillock.

    The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 2:00 PM until time of services.

    Obituary:

    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Lee LeBlanc, 52, who died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in Baton Rouge. Rev. James Caraway, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, will conduct the services.

    Interment will be in the Lafayette Masonic Cemetery.

    Mr. LeBlanc was a native of Rayne, the son of the late Clebert LeBlanc and Marie LeBleu. He was living in Lake Jackson, Tex., at the time of his death where he was employed by the Dow Chemical Co. as an engineer. He had worked for them for the past 21 years. He attended USL and graduated from LSU. Mr. LeBlanc was a member of Hope Lodge No. 145 F. & A.M., which will hold Masonic graveside services. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Air Force.

    He is survived by one daughter, Miss Susan Kaye LeBlanc of Lafayette; two sisters, Mrs. W.W. Bremer of Wimberly, Tex., and Mrs. Harry Davis of San Antonio, Tex.; and one brother, H. John LeBlanc of College Station, Tex.

    The family requests that visiting hours be observed until 10 tonight and from 8 a.m. until service time Friday.

    Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, August 1 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Kathleen "Kitty" Smith LeBlanc, who died Saturday, July 30 at Lafayette General Medical Center after a long illness of cancer.

    Interment took place in the Rayne Protestant Cemetery. Rev. Robert Burgess, pastor, Asbury United Methodist Church officiated.

    Mrs. LeBlanc was a native of Rayne, the daughter of the late Lee Smith and the former Erma Leaze Hoffpauir and had been a resident of Lafayette for the past six months.

    She was a retiree of Dow Chemical Company, Plaquemine. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Lafayette, where she worked with the Phoenix Sunday School Class and V.I.M. While she lived in Baton Rouge, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Simmons of Lafayette; one sister, Eris Chachere of Shreveport, one brother, Oren Smith of Crowley; and one grandson, Chadwick Mercke of Lafayette.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, six sisters and two brothers.

    Pallbearers were Michael Simmons, Chad Mercke, J.L. Hinckley, Michael McGrew, Stan Gegan and Ray Mercke.
