Obituary:

A private graveside service will be held for Louis "Bruce" Broussard, 91, who died on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home.

Inurnment will be in St. John Mausoleum in Lafayette.

Surviving family members include his children, Robert Broussard and wife, Karla, Ronald Broussard and wife, Cinde Sulik, and David Broussard and wife, Michelle; his grandchildren, Jessica Broussard, Christopher Bordes, Geoffrey Broussard, Christina Broussard, and Benjamin Broussard.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Doucet Broussard; his parents, Philbert and Eva Mire Broussard.

Louis "Bruce" Broussard was a native of Youngsville, Louisiana and a long-time resident of Lafayette, Louisiana. Bruce was a residential painter and a jack of all trades carpenter. He was talented and dedicated in his work. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors and never minded working in the Louisiana heat. Once he retired, he was always tending to the garden and had a passion for it.
