Obituary:

John Habarta, 46, passed away Sunday morning in Bryan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 29, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

A funeral service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Habarta, Jr.; and step-mother, Lillian Putz Habarta; his mother, Nadine Ethridge Meadors; brother, Daryle Wayne Ethridge.

Survivors include his sons, Brandon Habarta and Tristan Habarta; sisters, Kaye Ethridge Matejka, Becky Ethridge Oliver, Cindy Ethridge Senior, and Kelli Meadors Degelia; brother, James Ethridge; his close friend and companion Sabrina Morris, her daughter Heather Donaldson; and grandson, Aiden Donaldson Prado; and numerous relatives and friends.
