    Obituary:

Lockie Lamberth passed from this life to claim her heavenly reward from our gracious Lord and Savior on Friday, July 07, 2006.

She was born on July 21, 1911 in North Zulch, Texas to Robert Henry Harris and Ona Eleanor Harris. Lockie attended North Texas State University, and received her Bachelor's Degree with a major in business administration and minor in English. On August 30, 1946, Lockie married Wilbur Paul Lamberth at Travis Park Methodist Church in San Antonio. She taught school in the Texas towns of Emhouse, Joinerville, and San Antonio. She was a teacher at Fox Tech High School from 1956-1971. Lockie retired from Fox Tech in May of 1971. She enjoyed talking about her teaching experiences. During her teaching career, she had a farm for about seven years in Marion, Texas that she liked to go to for a nice retreat. After her retirement, she spent some of her time being a blue bird at the Methodist Hospital. Being a good cook, she liked preparing meals for relatives on special occasions. She enjoyed painting, and particularly noteworthy was her work with landscapes. During her retirement, one of the ways she enhanced her well being was by going to her one-acre peaceful setting in Castroville. It was a very nice place that provided refreshing of the mind for her and her relatives. Lockie owned the area for about six years. Foremost in Lockie's life was offering her assistance to her family and society. She was a contributor to many worthwhile organizations including her church, Travis Park Methodist, the March of Dimes, the Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner, and the San Antonio Food Bank. She liked to give to charities associated with children's needs like the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Teach the Children. Her giving and caring nature truly defined a person of great love and enormous worth. Lockie was a beautiful inspiration whose unselfish acts for others brought her a big dividend of personal happiness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Paul Lamberth.

She is survived by her nephews, Bill Harris and wife, Paula, David Harris, Robert Harris and wife, Helena, George Anderson and wife, Connie, and Bobby Anderson and wife, Dottie; great nephews, Ray Harris and wife, Joanna, Toby Anderson and wife, Adrienne, and Rodney Anderson and his wife Sarah; great nieces, Tammy Harris Dullnig and husband, Richard, Ashley Harris, Nicole Harris, Megan Harris, Heather Anderson, Courtney Anderson, and Michelle Anderson; great-great nephews, Tyler Dullnig, Trey Dullnig, Will Harris and Benjamin Anderson; sister-in-law, Nell Huddleston.
