    Obituary:

    Joe L. Sage, 63 of College Station, passed away Tuesday, March 8th at CHI St. Joseph Hospital in College Station. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Monday, March 14th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be a 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 15th, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wheat Cemetery.

    Joe was born in Navasota, Texas on May 13, 1958 to Joe, Jr., and Evelyn (Chism) Sage. After high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and proudly served our country for 12 years, including several tours in Japan. He met and married Sandra Greer in Bryan in January, 1976. Together, they had one child. Joe worked for over 21 years for Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan. He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. Outgoing and friendly, Joe always took the time to listen if you needed an ear. He was an avid Texas Aggies and Dallas Cowboys fan, a passion he shared with his son, Shannon. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother and will be dearly missed.

    He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Sage; son Shannon Sage; sister Patsy Greer; brother Ronnie Sage and nephews Shawn Greer and Robert Sage.

    Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe Sage, Jr., wife, Sandra Sage and nephew Christopher Sage.
