    Kathy Darlene (Nix) Schuessler ,66, was born March 30, 1954 in Seymour, Texas to the late Robert & Reba Nix. She enjoyed fishing, collecting ceramic birds, and going on cruises. Kathy attended Lubbock Christian College, where she was a member of The Theta Rho Social Club, as well as played in the Lubbock Christian College Band as a clarinet player. On November 7, 1981, Kathy went onto marry Joe Schuessler in Munday, Texas, treasuring 38 years of marriage. Before, retiring Kathy was a clerical secretary for Texas Tech for numerous years, she also enjoyed cheering for all the Red Raider sports.

    On the evening of April 22, 2020, in her husband's arms Kathy was called to her eternal rest. Those left to cherish her loving memory are her husband, Joe Schuessler of Lubbock; a brother Tim and wife Kim Nix of Seymour, Texas; six nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.

    She is preceded in death by her parents Robert & Reba Nix.

    Memorial services for Mrs. Schuessler will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2020 at The Chapel in Broadway Funeral Directors with Daniel Garza officiating. (due to the current pandemic associated with covid-19only; thirty five people will be allowed into the chapel for the memorial service, the memorial service will be streamed online, here on the website.)     Robert Gerald Nix, 55, died Friday in a Wichita Falls hospital.

    Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Munday Church of Christ with Larry Swan, minister, officiating. W. E. Burkham of Seymour assisted. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour under direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.

    He was born June 27, 1929, in Baylor County and moved from Graham, Texs, to Munday in 1961. He was a grocery store owner and manager, an Army veteran, past president of the Munday Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, member of the Munday Lion's Club and a deacon of the Munday Church of Christ.

    He and Reba Patterson were married Oct. 26, 1952, in Vera.

    Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Schuessler of Lubbock, Tex., a son, Tim Nix of Anson, Tex.; two sisters, Alma Brown and Shirley Vickers, both of Seymour; and a grandson.

    The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Munday Ambulance Fund.

    Reba Nix, 79, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 in Wichita Falls. She was born April 3, 1934 in Vera, Texas to Henry A. Patterson and Dora Norman Patterson.

    Reba enjoyed yard work, fishing, singing, and working at church. She was always ready to help when needed, but usually quietly behind the scenes. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and extended family.

    She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Eight brothers: Guy Patterson, Glenn Patterson, Rex Patterson, Ted Patterson, Brownie Patterson, Pete Patterson, Loran Patterson, and Alton Lee Patterson. Two sisters: Norma Thornhill Jones and Wanda Sweat Holland.

    Reba is survived by: One sister, Leota Cardwell of Starkville, Mississippi, One daughter, Kathy Schuessler and husband Joe of Lubbock, TX., One son, Tim Nix and wife, Kim of Seymour, TX, Three grandsons, Robert Nix of Nashville, TN., Phillip Nix and wife Keri of Lindale, TX., and Bryan Nix and wife, Alyssa of Oklahoma City, OK. Also, one grandson, Daniel Nix of Lindale, TX.

    Visitation will be held from 5-7PM, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the funeral home in Munday. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Munday Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, TX under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.

    Timothy Roy Nix was born on September 24, 1891 in Erath County, Texas. He came to this county in 1914, and has lived for the most of the time since then on the farm of Mrs. Joe Macha, in Cache Creek community.

    On Dec. 19th, Mr. Nix became ill and was taken to the Baylor County Hospital. He died there at 9 o'clock that night.

    Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ on Dec. 12th, at 3:00p.m. Minister W.E. Burkham was in charge of the services. Interment was in the original Seymour cemetery, with arrangements in charge of the Harrison Funeral Home. Nephews of the deceased were pallbearers. Also assisting with the services was Minister Douglas Cox of Red Springs.

    Mr. Nix is survived by his wife; by a son at home, Hubbard Leroy Nix; a son in the armed forces in Germany, Robert Nix; two daughters, Mrs. J.E. Brown and Mrs. Bud Vickers of Seymour; and six grandchildren.

    Mr. Nix united with the Church of Christ in early life, and has always lived a good and consistent Christian life. He has been a good citizen, neighbor and friend, and has tried to be useful during the span of years God game him in this world. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of the community in the sudden loss of their loved one.

    SEYMOUR (RNS) - Maudie I. Nix, 80, of Seymour died at 11:40 p.m. Friday at Seymour Hospital. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Seymour Church of Christ.

    David Cox, church minister, and Charles Boren of Munday will officiate. Burial will be at the Old Seymour Cemetery, directed by Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

    Born April 13, 1897, in McClellan County, she came to Seymour with her family in 1906. She married Timothy Roy Nix on June 3, 1917, at Bomarton. Mr. Nix died in 1951. Mrs. Nix was a member of Seymour Church of Christ.

    Survivors include two sons, Hubbard Nix of Seymour and Robert Nix of Munday; two daughters, Shirley Vickers of Seymour and Alma Brown of Seymour; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

    Mrs. Maudie I. Nix, 80, died Friday in the Seymour Hospital.

    Born April 13, 1897 in McClellan County, Texas, Mrs. Nix was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. She married Timothy Roy Nix June 3, 1917 in Bomarton, Texas. He died in 1955. Mrs. Nix came to Baylor County in 1906.

    Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Church of Christ of Seymour with David Cox, pastor, and Charles Boren, pastor of the Church of Christ of Munday, Texas, officiating. Burial was in Seymour Cemetery.

    Survivors include two sons, Robert Nix of Munday and Hubbard Nix of Seymour; two daughters, Shirley Vickers and Alma Brown, both of Seymour; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
