    Obituary:

    Services for Frank Davis Shirley, 89 of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Reliance Baptist Church in Reliance. The Rev. Ray Marshall will officiate. Interment will be in the Reliance Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.

    Frank was born on October 14, 1919 in Bryan to Lewis - Minnie Scasta Shirley. Frank attended Bowman school and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. He was an electrician and member of IBEW - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 50 years and co-owner of Central Electrical Supply of Bryan.

    Frank was a veteran of World War II and entered the Army in 1941. He served in England and France. He was awarded ETO ribbon with 1 battle star, Combat Badge, Amer. Def. Service Medal, American theater and Victory ribbon. He was discharged in 1945.

    Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother- Lewis "June" Shirley and his beloved wife of over 62 years, Gladys "Sissie" Welch Shirley.

    Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gregory - Linda Shirley of Bryan; daughters and son-in-laws, Darlene - Benny Bomnskie of Bryan and Bridget - Gary Sebesta of Caldwell; brother - sister-in-law, Perry - Delores Shirley of Bryan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy - Sylvia Welch; eight grandchildren, Ricky W. Bomnskie, Sandy Bomnskie, Shana Ogden, Steven Bomnskie, Marquel Knapp, Kenneth Kay, Melissa Pruitt and Michael Kay; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many relatives, friends and neighbors. Special friends and caretakers that helped Frank to continue to live in his own home: Ora Baker, Martha Haywood, Olga Canales, Russ - Stacy Ridenhour, Lawanna - Galen Gustavus, Joe - Mandy Williams.

    Pallbearers will be Ricky W. Bomnskie, Justin Bomnskie, Kenneth Kay, Michael Kay, Dwayne Shirley and Randy Shirley. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Bomnskie, Cody Morrison, Cameron Ogden, Justin Hopper, Richard Salinas, Ricky L. Bomnskie, Westin Bomnskie, Dustin Bomnskie and Ora Baker.
