    DALLAS - A memorial serice for Mr. Edward Zalenski, 57, formerly a teacher of modern languages at Texas A&M University, were was held at the C. Morton Chapel in Dallas Friday night.

    Mrs. Zalenski died at 5 p.m. Thursday in a Dallas hospital.

    He was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Old Forge, Pa. He received his bachelor of arts and masters in modern languages from Texas A&M. He later taught modern languages at A&M, The University of Texas at Austin and North Texas State University.

    Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Ann Pye of College Station; two granddaughters, Doriann Pye of Colorado and Lorilynn Pye of College Station; a grandson, James Merrell Pye of College Station; and five brothers, Dr. Eric Zalenski of Dayton, Ohio; Roman Zalenski of Ithaca, N.Y.; and Charles Edmund Zalenski, Stanley Zalenski and Henry Zalenski, all of Johnson City, N.Y.

    Donations may be made to the cancer fund at the Wadley Institute in Dallas.
