James R. Hatfield
Rosary for James R. (Jimmy) Hatfield, 66, of 3820 Seventh street, will be recited tonight at 7 o'clock in Grammier-Oberle Procter Street Funeral home chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic church with the Rev. Irving Wyble, an assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park.
Mr. Hatfield, an operating engineer by Ellerbee Brothers, died Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary's hospital after an illness of one week.
A native of Bunkie, La., Mr. Hatfield had lived in Port Arthur since 1923.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Hatfield, and one daughter, Mrs. Judy DeSha, both of Port Arthur; one brother, W.J. Hatfield of Bridge City; three sisters, Mrs. John Scroggs of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Beulah Redding of Downey, Calif., and Mrs. Bessie Garrett of Diamond Bar, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Tastka, Fred Davis, L.W. Gulley, John E. Box, Carl Ellerbee and George P. Huber, Jr.

PORT ARTHUR - James R. Hatfield, 66, of 3820 Seventh St., an operating engineer employed by Ellerbee Brothers of Port Arthur, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital after an illness of a week.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Procter Street Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10) a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Irving Wyble, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Hatfield was a native of Bunkie, La. He had lived in Port Arthur since 1923.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Hatfield; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Desha of Port Arthur; three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Redding of Downey, Calif., Mrs. Bessie Garrett of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Mrs. John Scroggs of Shreveport, La. and a brother, W.
