Kimble Reed Walters
Kimble Reed Walters, 69, of Dayton, passed away Saturday evening at a Baytown hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Sterling-White Chapel in Highlands. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Baytown. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at the funeral home.
A native of Pelly, Texas, Mr. Walters lived in the Baytown area most of his life, until moving to Dayton 3 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a painter most of his life and owned Walters Coating in Baytown. He was known for his love of fishing and raising race horses. Mr. Walters loved helping people, most notably cooking for various people every morning. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a great sense of humor and loved practical jokes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Foreman. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Peggy Joan McGinty Walters of Crosby, sons, Kimble Walters, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Dallas and John Curtis Walters and his wife Debbie of Moss Hill; daughters, Sherrie June Sewell and her husband Pat of Shreveport, La., Jannette Fay Goodson and husband Bill of Baytown, Georgia Ann Alexander and husband Carlo of Dayton and Judy Ray Walters of Liberty. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
