- Obituary:
Kenneth Edmund Clapp, age 51, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 5th, 2023, in Stockdale,
Texas. He was born March 9th, 1972, in Fort Worth, TX, to Edmund and Pamela (Crenshaw) Clapp.
Kenneth grew up in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, but was proud to be a Texan. He graduated high school from Rio Vista, TX in 1991. He and Tracy were married in Chickasha, OK, in 1995. His first ministry position was in Childress, Texas as a youth minister. He also worked as a youth minister in Choctaw, OK, pulpit minister in Central City, KY, and education & involvement minister in Cleburne, TX. Kenneth began serving as the pulpit minister in Stockdale, TX in 2010 and preached there until his passing. He lived in Stockdale longer than he lived anywhere else in his life and considered it his home.
Kenneth enjoyed going to the beach, eating out, watching movies & documentaries, reading, and had a plethora of hobbies. What he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family. He was especially proud of his sons, Enoch & Noah.
Kenneth's faith and relationship with God was the most important thing in his life and was evident in the way he treated others and his love for ministry. He never lost his passion to preach God's word and share His love with others. He continued to preach through his battle with cancer by recording sermons that could be shared with the congregation and online.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Conrad Paul Clapp; grandparents, Emma Jane Cunningham, Herbert Leon Crenshaw, Lucy Faye Clapp, and Eugene Payson Clapp; niece, Katelyn Pearce; nephew Rain Pearce.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 27 Years, Tracy LaDene Clapp (Tate), his sons Enoch Conrad Edmund Clapp, and Noah Harvey Clapp; his mother, Pamela Clapp; brother, Colby Clapp and wife Lisa; sister-in-law, Helen Pearce and husband Matthew; brother-in-law, Aaron Tate and wife Tanya; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wilfred and Glatha Tate; numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
A visitation with the family will take place Saturday, June 10 th , 2023, at 10:00 AM, Stockdale Church of Christ, Stockdale, Texas. Services will follow at 11:00 AM.
