    • Obituary:

      WEATHERFORD - John C. Mabry, 54, a professional horse trainer, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, in Fort Worth.

      Memorial service: 4 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at First Baptist Church, 8601 FM Road 920, Peaster.

      Memorials: Weatherford FFA Alumni, c/o Weatherford High School.

      John Mabry was born Jan. 20, 1945, in Beaumont. He had a long and successful career in the thoroughbred industry. In 1982, he ran a horse in the Kentucky Derby.

      He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed.

      He was preceded in death by a sister, Lianda Wiggins.

      Survivors: Wife, Deborah A. Mabry of Weatherford; sons, Casey Mabry and Brad Mabry, both of Weatherford; daughters, Sarah Mabry of San Antonio, Julie Mabry of Houston and Randi Luke of Weatherford; brother, Thomas Blaine Mabry of Beaumont; sisters, Rosalyn Hunt of Port Neches, Susan Restuccia of Kinglake and Lori Jackson of Dallas.
