William Robert "Lud" Crnkovic
Funeral services for Mr. William Robert "Lud" Crnkovic, 62, were held Friday, May 2, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with Reverend Mike Ray and Reverend Jimbo Herring officiating.
Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery for Mr. Crnkovic who passed away Wednesday, April 30 at his home. Funeral services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mr. Crnkovic was a lifelong resident of West Carroll Parish where he was a member of the Lanes Ferry Baptist Church. He was a farmer and had been a riverboat pilot for 15 years. Mr. Crnkovic also served on the West Carroll Parish Police Jury for 12 years where he served as President for several of those years. He was a loving husband, daddy, and "Pa".
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wonice Sebren Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Crnkovic and Kaye Allen Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheldia Crnkovic Hill and Pat Hill, of Oak Grove; five grandchildren, Landon Owens of Oak Grove, Kasidy Hill, of Corpus Christi, Texas; Jennifer Crnkovic, Bobby Crnkovic and Patrick Hill, all of Oak Grove; two brothers, Bill Crnkovic, of Lake Providence and Preston Crnkovic, of Bastrop; two sisters, Doris Crnkovic and Jane Acreman, both of Oak Grove.
Pallbearers were Jessie Acreman, Charles Frith, Aries Shows, Floyd Frith, Joseph Martin and M.L. Jones.
