      Tate, Joseph Eugene, 39, of Shreveport, services 4 p.m. today at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, burial at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Tate was a Vietnam veteran.

      SHREVEPORT - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy. 80 East, Bossier for Mr. Joseph Eugene Tate, 39, of Shreveport on Wednesday, September 21, 1988 at 4 p.m. Burial will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

      Mr. Tate was a native of Shreveport and a life long resident of the area. He was a veteran of Viet Nam Conflict and was the recipient of a purple heart and several other decorations.

      He is survived by his parents, William "Gene" and Mary Jo Tate of Haughton; two daughters, Nancy Elizabeth and Angie Tate, both of Bossier City; one son, Joey Tate of Bossier City; four sisters, Jeanette Tate of Shreveport, Evelyn T. Hopkins of Many, La., Mildren L. Cannon of Knoxville, Tenn. and Elizabeth "Beth" Newton of Bossier City; three brothers, William F. Tate of Fort Hood, Texas, Charles D. Tate of Haughton and Albert L. Tate of Las Vegas, Nevada.
