Track
Successfully defended his title as District champion in the pole vault. Fred went on to finish 7th in the Regional track meet. Through his efforts Fred earned All-District honors for the second consecutive year.

Fred Mixon
October 19, 1972 - December 11, 2024
Fred Michael Mixon, 52 of Mountain View, passed away on December 11, 2024. He was born October 19, 1972 in West Monroe, LA to the late Michael Glen Mixon and Ruth Ann Terry Mixon.
He was a superintendent for KBR Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking with friends. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica (badly!) for his friends. He was a loyal friend, and was well respected by his co-workers. He was affectionately known as "Rooster".
Fred is survived by his mother, Ruth Ann Mixon; sister, Sharon Mixon; brother, Stewart Mixon; niece, Kloe Mixon; many "framily"; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers or Samaritan's Purse.
