  Obituary: HOMER, LA. - Services for Mrs. Ernestine Bumgardner Moreland of Homer will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2000, at the First Presbyterian Church of Homer, LA with Rev. John McClelland officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery. Mrs. Moreland passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at Homer Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 14, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer. Mrs. Moreland was born September 29, 1919, in Bossier City, LA, and lived her entire life in Homer, LA. Mrs. Moreland was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Homer and of a number of community and civic organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gussie and Ernest Bumgardner. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Wilson Moreland; their five children: Martha Moreland Morris of Houston, TX; Dr. John R. Moreland of Pacific Palisades, CA.; James W. Moreland of Phoenix, AZ; Dr. Ernest C. Moreland of Atlanta, GA; and Dr. David J. Moreland of Ft. Worth, TX; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will include four grandsons, Paul Roberts, Wes Moreland, Sam Moreland, and Robert Moreland; son-in-law Jim Morris; Preston Rogers; Ed Watson; and Mike Doughterty. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James Gladney, Dr. Pat Gladney, Dr. Donald Haynes, and Dolph McVicker. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of the wonderful caregivers who have been and continue to be so supportive.
