- Obituary:
Mary Lynn Dalrymple Wise, 72, was a resident of Shreveport, LA since 1991 and was a former resident of Waldo, AR, died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at Irving Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Shreveport, LA.
She was born October 15, 1930 in Benton, LA to the late Wilburn F. and Hattie B. Dalrymple. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grover Guy Wise, Jr.; a sister, Shirley Dalrymple.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Wise and wife Betty and Jerry Wise, both of Shreveport, LA; two grandchildren, Janey Lynn Wise and Margaret Nell Wise, both of Shreveport, LA; one brother, N.A. "Buddy" Dalrymple of Benton, LA; one sister, Jean McKinney of Springhill, LA; two nieces, Hazel Leachman of Benton, LA; Betty Faye Lewis of Waldo, AR and one nephew, George McKinney of Springhill, LA; numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 17, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Lewis Chapel. Bro. Jim Sayers will officiate assisted by Rev. Tom Edmonds. Burial will follow in Frazier Cemetery. Visitation will be at Lewis Funeral Home Saturday, February 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Active pallbearers will be Sonny Draper, Victor Reynolds, Billy Dalrymple, George McKinney, Donny Hudgens and Bobby Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hudgens, Dr. Danny Barnhill and Dr. Richard K. Barnett.
A special thanks to Dr. Danny Barnhill, Dr. Marianne Barnhill, Dr. Joyce Feagin, Dr. Calvin Alexander and Dr. Richard K. Barnett for the care they provided to Mary and the support they gave to the family.
Thanks to all the Health Care workers at Irving Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, especially Tina, Ruby, Chris, Staci, and Sandra.
Thanks to all the Nurses and CNAS of Professional Home Health; Affiliated Home Health and National Home Health, that assisted Mary over the past twelve years.
