Grover Guy Wise, Jr.
SHREVEPORT, LA Services for Grover Guy Wise, Jr., 65, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 1993 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel, Magnolia, Ark. Officiating will be Rev. William McDonald and Rev. Johnny Umphries. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery.
Mr. Wise was born January 31, 1927 in Walkerville, Ark. and died Monday, January 11, 1993 at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired surveyor for Ark. Highway Dept., member of Friendship Baptist Church and his family was a long time resident of Waldo, Ark., now of Shreveport, La.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lynn (Dalrymple) Wise; two sons, Larry and wife, Betty Wise, and Jerry Wise all of Shreveport; one sister, Emma Selene Lewis and brother-in-law, Dock Lewis of Waldo, Ark.; brother-in-law, N. A. (Buddy) Dalrymple of Benton, La.; two granddaughters, Janey Lynn Wise and Margaret Nell Wise both of Shreveport; nephew, George McKinney of Rocky Mount, La.; five nieces, Hazel Leachman of Benton, La., Betty Lewis of Waldo, Ark., Vonice Stinson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Deborah Sedillos and Bonnie J. Wise both of Denver, Colo.; and a number of cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jack Leachman, Victor Reynolds, George McKinney, Doyle Seal, Donny Hudgens, and Glenn (Sonny) Draper.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hudgens, Weldon Smith, L. B. Reeves and Charles Parham.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Special appreciation to Dr. Richard Barnett, Dr. Charles Rice, Dr. Ben Quinne, Jr. and the nurses on the 6th Floor at Schumpert Medical Center.
