      Frank Glenn Sholte Jr.
      March 4, 1949 - August 29, 2024
      Shreveport

Frank Glenn Sholte, Jr. MD, 75, was born on March 3, 1949 and passed away on August 29,2024 due to complications from Alzheimer's. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Glenn was born in Big Spring, Texas, and moved to Bossier City, Louisiana, while in Junior High School. Glenn was a mentor to his younger brothers, David and Robert, and helped care for his brother Ricky, who had spina bifida. Helping take care of his brother instilled in him the passion to become a physician.

Glenn graduated from Louisiana State University and went on to receive a Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He completed a Residency in Anesthesiology from the University of Florida and a Fellowship in Pain Management at Texas Tech University with Dr. Gabor Racz.

Glenn served in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge at the rank of Captain after two years. While serving, he was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base on the medical staff. He went on to practice anesthesiology and chronic pain management. During his career he practiced at Willis-Knighton, Schumpert, and at private practices both in Shreveport and San Diego, California. Among his accomplishments he was a President of the Louisiana Society of Anesthesiologists and an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University Medical Center Shreveport.

Glenn was married to Catherine "Kitty" Farace for forty years before separating and together they had one son, Mark. Glenn was a kind and generous person who took care of his friends and family. Even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he still was able to put a smile on the faces of those around him.

Glenn is survived by his son, Mark Glenn Sholte; brother, Robert L. Middleton and his wife, Mollyerin Middleton, and his former wife Catherine Farace Lashford. He is predeceased by his mother, Carolyn Louise Birdwell Middleton; father, Frank Glenn Sholte Sr.; brother, George Warrick Sholte; brother, David Ashton Sholte and nephews, Ashton Michael Middleton and Christopher Warrick Middleton.

In lieu of flowers, gifts honoring Glenn's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of choice.
