  Obituary: Lt. Col. Charles R. Jeffery SHREVEPORT, LA - Lt. Col. Charles R. Jeffery, 68, died Thursday, May 26, 1994 at Willis Knighton South. Lt. Col. Jeffery was a native of Shreveport and lived in Shreveport most of his life. He was a member of The Joppa Masonic Lodge, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the office of Special Investigations and after his career in the service he taught school at Southwood High School for 8 years. Services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport on Monday, May 30, 1994 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie DeHondt of Summer Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mrs. Gwen B. Jeffery of Shreveport; a daughter, Carolla Rose Ault of Pennsylvania; four sons, Rev. Thomas R. Jeffery of Redding California, Charles A. Jeffery of Los Angeles, California, Leland A. Jeffery and Curt R. Jeffery both of Shreveport. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Beth Vega of Shreveport and Mrs. Lynn Sanders of Houston; three grandchildren and a special friend, Edward Sanders.
