Jean Robertson
November 20, 1928 - May 10, 2025
College Station
Jean Robertson, born on November 20, 1928, in Brazos County, Texas, was a beacon of love and strength in the lives of those who were fortunate to know her. She passed peacefully on May 10, 2025, in College Station, Texas, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.
As a devoted homemaker and a certified babysitter for over 20 years, Jean dedicated her life to nurturing others. Her warmth and generosity extended beyond her family to countless children whom she cared for, imparting wisdom and kindness with every interaction. Jean's journey began with her education at A&M Consolidated High School, and her love for life blossomed in the years that followed.
Jean had a profound connection with nature; she found joy in feeding and watching the birds and squirrels that visited her home. Her garden, filled with vibrant flowers, was a testament to her nurturing spirit. She shared a bond that was unbreakable with her loving dog, KC, who was her constant companion.
Jean is survived by her dear son, Doyle Robertson, and his wife, Betty Jo; her beloved grandchildren, Melissa and James Robertson; and her cherished granddaughter, Miranda Rubach, and her husband, Robert. She also had the immense joy of watching her great-granddaughter, Hadley Rubach, grow and shine, carrying forward the legacy of love that Jean cultivated throughout her lifetime.
She will be dearly missed by those who remain but will live on in their hearts and memories. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, James "Cooter" Robertson; her son, Dale Robertson; and her parents, Antone and Mattie Rosprim, all of whom she held close in her heart.
Friends and family are invited to honor Jean's remarkable life on May 14, 2025, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory in Bryan, Texas. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, and interment at College Station City Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
In this sorrowful time, we celebrate the vibrant life of Jean Robertson - a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend - who brought light, laughter, and unconditional love to all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
