W. N. Luckey
One of our most beloved citizens was called away last Thursday morning at 6 o'clock. W. N. Luckey was born in Jefferson County, Georgia. in 1863, came to Texas in 1884, and had resided here since that time.
Mr. Luckey was married to Miss Kitty Ross, who passed away in December, 1916, leaving two little baby girls, one passing away at the age of eleven months.
He leaves one daughter, Miss Kathleen Luckey; two brothers and one sister, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mr. Luckey joined the church at Pleasant Hill at the age of 22 and was a true and loyal christian. He will be missed by his friends as well as his loved ones, as they were always happy to have him come in their homes and visit with them.
The Rev. H. E. Crone of Rockdale conducted the funeral services and paid a beautiful tribute to the life of Mr. Luckey. Interment was made in the family plot at Pleasant Hill Friday at 3 o'clock.--Contributed.
