  Obituary: BURGE E.V. (Red) BURGE, 76, passed away Sunday Dec 14, 1997 in the company of his family. He acknowledged his illness but did not succumb to it. Red lived his lie in the manner he chose and remained in good humor until his departure. He is survived by his wife Lea Burge, his sons Edward, John, William, Kenneth, stepdaughter Sheila Richardson, his sisters Ruth Jarrel and Elizabeth Likes of Bay St. Louis, MS. 9 grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. In accordance with his wishes, his remains were cremated with no plans for funeral or burial services. (Published in The Houston Chronicle on December 21, 1997)
