Mrs. Preston Frederick
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 12, in St. Therese Catholic Church for Mrs. Preston Frederick, the former Matile Trahan, 71, who died at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, August 11, in Lafayette General Hospital. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Preston Frederick of Abbeville; one son, Ray Frederick of Cameron; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Eula) Delhommer of Maurice; six brothers, Anthony Trahan, George Trahan, Daniel Trahan, Wilmer Trahan, Oris Trahan and Huey Trahan, all of Abbeville; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Duhon, Mrs. Herman Trahan and Mrs. Preston Mire, all of Abbeville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Hazel Frederick and Linda F. Hebert; two brothers, Claude and Maxie Trahan; and one sister, Thelma Trahan.
Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of arrangements.
