L. Boudreaux Dies In Rayne
RAYNE, La. - Funeral services for Laurent Boudreaux, 82, charter member of the Rayne Fire Association, who died at his home at 12:30 p.m. Monday, will be held at 3 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Gossen Funeral home in charge of arrangements. The body will be at the family residence, 600 Second Street, until time of services.
Boudreaux suffered a heart atatck and died within a few minutes after he was stricken. Fire Chief D. J. Boullion announced that members of the Raye Volunteer Association will serve as pallbearers, and that the body will be taken on the Rayne fire truck for the funeral Mass and procession to the cemetery.
A native of Labadieville, he had resided in Rayne for the past 60 years. He became a charter member of the fire association when it was organized, and retired last year after 51 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, the former Adeline LeBleu; one son, Ernest Boudreaux of Bunkie; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

RAYNE - Funeral services for Laurent Boudreaux, 82, charter member of the Rayne Fire Ass'n., who died at his home in Rayne at 12:30 p.m. Monday, were held at 3 p.m. yesterday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.
Interment followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery, with Gossen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Members of the Rayne volunteer association served as pallbearers, and the body was carried in state on the Rayne fire truck for the funeral Mass and procession to the cemetery.
Mr. Boudreaux suffered a heart attack and died within a few minutes after he was stricken.
A native of Labadieville, he had resided in Rayne for the past 60 years. When the volunteer fire association was organized in Rayne, he was a charter member, and retired last year from active duty after 51 years of service. He had held various offices in the organization, serving as chief a number of years ago.
He is survived by his widow, the former Adeline LeBleu; one son, Ernest Boudreaux of Bunkie; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
