      George "Ben" McCool
      September 26, 1943 - January 24, 2005

      George "Ben" McCool, age 61, of San Bruno, California and formerly of Sunbury, Ohio died unexpectedly on Monday, January 24, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

      He was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 26, 1943 to Mary K. (Myers) Cochran of Delaware, and the late George E. McCool. Graduate of Big Walnut High School Class of 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He has resided in the San Francisco Bay area since 1967. Ben worked for 36 years as a maintenance mechanic until retiring from United Air Lines in 2004. He was a prior member of the Sunbury United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, bicycles and cooking.

      In addition to his mother, he is survived by his Sisters: Kathy (Chris Elia) Cochran of Columbus, Jane (John) Benanzer of Oklahoma City, OK, Rebecca (William) Hammond of Blue Ridge, GA, Brother: Robert (Jane) Cochran of Kingston, GA, Nieces and Nephews: Bret (Emily) Rollins, Brandon Rollins, Brian, Jason, and Christopher Benanzer, and Julie (Corey) Redington, and Great-Nephews: Fletcher and Zane Rollins.

      In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Clyde Cochran.

      Friends may call Saturday from 1 - 2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Smith officiating.
