Nancy Lee Traske
February 1, 1965 - October 17, 2014
Nancy Lee Covert Traske, 49, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, October 17, 2014.
Mrs. Traske was born in Greenville, PA and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. Her greatest times were spent with her family; her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Mrs. Traske will be most remembered for her kind, caring heart and her "soft spot" for animals.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of twenty-five years, Vincent Merrill Traske; four children, Amanda Jo Traske of Lake Charles, Corey James Chauvin and wife Krystin of Youngsville, US Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Surface Warfare, Thomas Vincent Traske and wife Lauren of Jacksonville, FL and Sarah Faye Traske of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, Riley Scott David, Gavin James Chauvin, Abigail Marie Chauvin, Vincent Edward Traske, Carter James Traske; her father, David L. Covert of Lake Charles; four brothers and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Richards Covert and one sister, Debbie Vallery.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jon Crum will officiate. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
