      James L. LeBlanc
      September 17, 1945 - April 18, 2007

      A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home, honoring the life of James L. LeBlanc, 61, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at his residence.

      Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery with Francis Plaisance officiating.

      Mr. LeBlanc owned and operated LeBlanc Laundry Mat of Abbeville, was a long time member of the Abbeville Lions Club and served as president of the Lafayette chapter, he was Lion of the Year in 1996 and is also a member of H.O.G. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed planting and caring for his roses.

      Survivors include his wife, Irene Dubois LeBlanc; four sons, James, Kirk and Peter LeBlanc all of Abbeville and Timothy LeBlanc of Kaplan; two daughters, Terry L. Lalande of Lafayette and Monica L. Borel of Duson; a brother, Lovelace J. LeBlanc; and ten grandchildren, Blake, Emily, Anthony, Hayley, Hollie, Heidi, Heaven, Cameron, Conner, and Alaina Rose.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Semar and Rosita Cabrol LeBlanc; a brother, Paul M. LeBlanc; and a sister; Thelma Marie Breaux.

      The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, April 20, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

      In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana. The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana and his nurse Joseph for there time and love.
