- Obituary:
James A. Taylor, age 53 of Saucier, died Friday, August 3, 2007 in Gulfport. He was born in Washington, D.C. and had been a resident of Saucier for ten years. James grew up in East Biloxi and attended Biloxi schools.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Ray Taylor and mother, Goldie Corner Scheck; and a son, Jude Everett Taylor.
He is survived by sons, James II (April) and Robert (Kris); daughters, Kimberly and Goldie (Damien); brothers, Michael (Donna), Joseph (Acey), Douglas, (Donna Michelle); sister, Bunny (Danton); nine grandchildren; and caregivers for ten years, Mildred Taylor and Thomas Rowe.
There will be a visitation Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com.

James Taylor
A memorial service was held for James A. Taylor I, age 53, who passed away on August 3rd in Gulfport MS.
Born in Washington D.C., grew up in East Biloxi, resided in Abbeville, LA from 1975 to 1988, then returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast till the time of death.
Survived by his children, James II and his wife April of Gulfport, Mississippi, Robert and his girlfriend Kris of Gulfport, Mississippi, Kimberly of Vancleave, Mississippi, Goldie and her husband Damien of Abbeville.
Three brothers, Michael Taylor Sr. and his wife Donna of Forked Island, Julius Scheck and his wife Acey of Abbeville, Douglas Taylor and his wife Donna Michelle of Dallas, Texas, one sister, Bunny Hebert and her husband Danton of Abbeville.
Mr. Taylor is also survived by his nine grandchildren Alyssa, Katlyn, Landon, Kameron, Lanley, Ava, his care givers of 10 years Thomas Rowe and Mildred Taylor Rowe also numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family of Mr. Taylor would like to thank Thomas and Mildred for all of their years of dedication to Jimmy, during his illness.
Preceded in death by his father Melvin Ray Taylor, mother Goldie Scheck and one son Jude Everett.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 18th 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home located on O'Neal Road in Gulfport MS.
