  Obituary: James Herman Broussard James Herman Broussard, 69, passed away at his residence Wednesday, April 3, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Della C. Broussard of Abbeville; his mother Eunice Broussard; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Patrick Boudreaux of Lafayette, Donnie and Shooky Meaux of Abbeville, and Jamie and Tad Webb of Abbeville; and six grandchildren, Brock and Hunter Boudreaux of Lafayette, Trisha Mayeaux, Brooke Webb, and Bridget and Alana Meaux of Abbeville. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Broussard, and his brother Harold Broussard. Mr. Broussard was a life long resident of Abbeville where he worked at Riviana for 38 years. Upon his retirement he devoted his time to his family, his farm and his cattle. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by family and friends alike. Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m until time of services. Services, Friday, April 5, will be at 2 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Herbert Bennerfield officiating the service. Burial will be St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St. Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503-3240. Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville is conducting the arrangements.
