  Obituary: SAREPTA, LA. - Services for Mr. John Hollis Houston, 82, of Sarepta, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Jan. 11 at the New Sarepta Baptist Church. Dr. Richard May will officiate. Burial will be at Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary in Springhill. Mr. Houston died Friday Jan. 9, 1987, in Springhill after a short illness. He was a retired bookkeeper and notary. Mr. Houston was a native of Logansport, La. and a lifelong resident of Sarepta. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Franks Houston of Sarepta; two daughters, Hollis Jeanne Childs of Minden, La., Lillie Merle Evans of Sarepta; one brother, Charles C. Houston of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces; four nephews. Pallbearers: Bob Patterson, Joe Love, P.S. Phillips, C.G. Alford, B.H. Huckabay, Curtis Morgan, Harold Newsome and Richard Griffin. (Published in The Shreveport Times on January 11, 1987)
