  Obituary: Kenneth Lee Touchet December 12, 1944 - August 15, 2024 Kenneth Lee Touchet - Age 79; a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and a resident of Mobile, Alabama died Thursday, August 15, 2024 in a local health care facility. Kenneth retired after 20 years of service with Marathon Oil Company as a Lead Operator. He was a member of the Citronelle Volunteer Rescue Unit. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife, Linda, particularly in the Great Smokey Mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with friends at Rock Solid Fitness in Citronelle, Alabama. In this last year Kenneth was a resident of Asher Point Retirement Village where he met many new friends and enjoyed their companionship. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Anna Touchet of Abbeville, Louisiana; and his loving wife of 54 years, Linda R. Touchet. He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Simison (Johnny) of Citronelle, Alabama and Aimee Touchet of Mobile, Alabama; two grandchildren, J. R. Simison (Victoria) of Vinegar Bend, Alabama and Elizabeth Sheffield (Christian) of Prarieville, Louisiana; three great-grandchildren, Ann Renee Simison, Rodney Wayne Sheffield, and Lynden Grace Sheffield; one brother, Edward J. Touchet (Janice) of Abbeville, Louisiana; a special friend, Judy Appleby of Mobile, Alabama; many nieces and nephews, and a special pet, Hazel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Ascension Funeral Home, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695 with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 P.M.
