Mildred E. Pittman
Mildred E. Pittman was born September 22, 1925, entered into rest at the age of 81 in a local hospital. Survivors include her husband, Marshall Pittman of Zavalla; daughters and son-in-law, Linda E. Phillips and the late Buddy Phillips of Zavalla, Leona and Jack Edwards of Pittsburg, son and daughter in-law, Leo and Inez Jones of Thicket, 3 stepchildren to include; Elizabeth Pittman of Austin, Mark and Leia Pittman of Angleton, Kermit and Bonnie Pittman of Sugarland. Grandchildren Lee and Leo Phillips, Leanne Monies, Jeffery, Jody and Jack Edwards Jr., Jana Grissiths, Thomas Jones, Travis and Natalie Pittman, Mark and Sarah Pittman and Sunny Pittman along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pittman spent most of her life in Houston but has lived in Zavalla for the past 37 years. Mrs. Pittman and her husband had a business together in Galveston before moving to Zavalla. After several years running this establishment, they decided it was time to move away from the city into a more peaceful atmosphere therefore they settled in Zavalla. Mrs. Pittman and her husband built their home on Hwy. 147. Mrs. Pittman was a member of Eastern Star, as her husband is a Mason with Angelina Lodge. Services are pending. The family extends great thanks for the care Hospice and Dr. J.S. Todd and Associates gave to their wife, mother and grandmother.
