    • Obituary:

      SAREPTA, LA. - Services for Mrs. Lillie Franks Houston, 84, of Sarepta, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday June 17 at New Sarepta Baptist Church. Rev. Scott Teutsch will officiate, assisted by Rev. Leo Beck. Burial: Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.

      Mrs. Houston died Thursday, June 16, 1988, at Humana Hospital, Springhill following a short illness. She was a native of Sarepta having lived there for the past 67 years. She was a member of the New Sarepta Baptist Church and was a retired school teacher, having taught first grade in the Sarepta School District for 42 years. She also taught one year at Minden, La.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hollis Houston, January 9, 1987.

      She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hollis Jeanne Childs of Minden, La. and Mrs. Lillie Merle Evans, of Sarepta; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

      Pallbearers will be: Bob Patterson, Joe Love, P.S. Phillips, C.G. Alford, B.H. Huckaby, Curtis Morgan, Harold Newsome, and Richard Griffin.
