  Obituary: Electa Marie Guillot Allen A resident of Bayou Sorrel, she was called home by the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2011. She was 95 and a resident of Bayou Sorrel. Visitation at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, Sunday, May 8, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Monday, May 9, from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by Brother Jon Moyers and Brother Leon Carpenter. Burial at Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law, David "Black" and Joyce Cavalier Allen, Anthony "Tony" Allen, Michael Allen and Thomas "Tubby" Allen; three daughters and a son-in-law, Elaine Allen, Linda Allen, and Jackie and Claude "Mop" Duncan; 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren and family friend, Merlene Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, David Allen Sr.; four children, Walter and infant children Butch, J.D., and Judy; parents, Charles and Aline Guillot; a sister, Olampe; and two brothers, Alcide "Cos" and Paul. She was a member of Bayou Sorrel Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Comfort Care Hospice.
