      Cecil Sherman
      February 3, 1966 - May 4, 2014

      Cecil Sherman, 48, of Big Spring, died Sunday May 4, 2014 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel.

      He was born in Big Spring on February 3, 1966 to Helen and Omer Sherman. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for B & E Roustabout.

      He is survived by his wife Dafna Meyer of Big Spring; one daughter: Shayna Sherman and fiancee Brian Davis, Sr.; one son: Brandon Olivetti of Big Spring; one step-daughter: Krystal Olivetti of Big Spring; his mother and step-father: Helen and Ronnie Richardson of Big Spring; two sisters: Teresa McGuire and husband Jerry of Big Spring and Janet Kilgore and husband Ben of Big Spring; one step-sister: Rhonda Lefever and husband David of Big Spring; three grandchildren: R'Lonie Cole, Alexander Sherman and Brian Davis, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

      He is preceded in death by his father: Omer Sherman, one brother: Dewayne Sherman and his grandparents. The family would like to give special thanks to both the staff of S & R Home Health and to the I.C.U. staff at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
