- Obituary:
Funeral services for Ms. Kimberly Marie Mitchell, age 29, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church with Rev. Don Shirley and Rev. Jason Lupo officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, at Bailey Funeral Home.
Kimberly was born October 7, 1986 to Rodger Sherman Mitchell, Jr. and Barbara Marie Taylor Mitchell and passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley where she was an active member of the choir and worked in the children's department. She was a graduate of Shongaloo High School class of 2006 and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Rodger S. Mitchell, III and wife, Lynette of Foreman, AR; sister, Carolyn Denise Mitchell of Shongaloo, LA; her maternal grandmother, Carolyn F. Taylor of Magnolia, AR; a niece, A. J. Mitchell and special friend, Phillip Gulett of Haughton, LA.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, J. L. Taylor, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Rodger S. Mitchell, Sr. and Hollis Houston Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Dave Mitchell, Jr., Zac Joslin, Heath Joslin, David Joslin, Robert Rudd, T. W. Price, Rusty Price and Gary Sullivan.
