  Death Notice: COLDIRON, E.B. "Elton," 87, of Rockdale, died Tuesday. Services 2 p.m. today, Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Rockdale. Burial Sand Grove Cemetery, Milano. (Published in The Austin American-Statesman on March 22, 1990) Obituary: E. B. (Elton) Coldiron COLDIRON, E. B. (Elton) of Rockdale. Age 87. Died 3/20/1990 (Tuesday) in Richards Memorial Hospital. Services held 3/22/1990 (Thursday) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in Sand Grove Cemetery. Revs. Roland Haney and Edwin Waterbury officiated. Phillips & Luckey in charge of arrangements. He was a lifelong resident of Milam and Lee Counties. BORN 8/11/1902 in Madison Co. to M/M Arthur (Ida Price) Coldiron. He was a farmer then worked as a carpenter for about 30 years retiring at the age of 80. Married Gertrude Baccus 69 years ago Tuesday, 3/27, in a buggy in Tanglewood. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ida Coldiron, 3 sons, Seth Melvin (Rod) Coldiron on 12/14/1983, Vernon Coldiron in 1989 and Ludy Coldiron; 2 daughters, Erma Ida Coldiron on 12/6/1944 and Alpha Tyler; also 2 brothers, Aubrie and Lessue Coldiron. Member of the Apostolic Faith Church of Rockdale. SURVIVORS: Wife, Gertrude of Rockdale; son, Troy Coldiron of Miami, FL.; daughter, Ava Perrin of Rockdale; 2 brothers, Alton Coldiron of Milano and Emerson Coldrion of Odessa; 2 sisters, Zelma Diver of Lubbock and Opal Mae Devriese of Hitchcock; 17 grandchildren; number of great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
