  Death Notice: Woodrow Hicks Sr. MATHIS - Woodrow Hicks Sr., 53, died Monday morning in a Robstown hospital after a short illness. A farmer, he had lived in Mathis since 1942 and was a native of Taft. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Dobie Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Cenizo Hills Cemetery. (Published in The Corpus Christi Caller on December 12, 1967) Obituary: Woodrow Hicks MATHIS - Funeral services were to be at 4 p.m. today at Dobie Funeral Chapel for Woodrow Hicks, 53, who died yesterday after a short illness. Burial was to be in Cenizo Hill Cemetery. Born in Taft, Hicks moved to Mathis in 1942. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Lydia; a son, Woodrow Hicks Jr. of Kingsville; a daughter, Mrs. Gary M.
