Lydia H. Roberts
TYNAN - Lydia Hicks Roberts, a retired teacher at Mathis Independent School District, a former resident of Mathis, and a member of the Mathis Church of Christ, died Sept. 29, 2000. She was 84.
Survivors include a daughter, Marylyn Underwood of Victoria; a son, Woodrow Hicks Jr. of Kingsville; a sister, Dina Kruger of Tynan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis. Burial will be in Cenizo Hill Cemetery, Mathis.

LYDIA H. ROBERTS
TYNAN - Lydia Hicks Roberts, 84, of Tynan, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000. She was born July 5, 1916, in Tynan. She was a retired teacher after 27 years at Mathis ISD and a member of the Mathis Church of Christ.
Survivors: daughter, Marylyn Underwood of Victoria; son, Woodrow C. Hicks Jr. of Kingsville; sister, Dina Kruger of Tynan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Dobie Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be at Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis. Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis, (361) 547-3224.
