Artie Mae Ewaldt

Artie Mae "Pat" Ewaldt, 86, housewife, business woman, mother and grandmother. Born October 4, 1922 Bangs, Texas, died April 16, 2009 Houston, Texas. She was a life long resident of Corpus Christi until 2003 when she moved to Houston to be close to her sons and grandsons. She is a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, Chapter 354 OES and is a member of the Corpus Christi Women Bowlers Association Hall of Fame. In the 1960s along with her husband C.C. Thomas, a home builder, built and operated Tommys Sportsmen Center and Caf in Flour Bluff until his untimely death.
She later met and married James Enwright for whom she enjoyed bowling and travel. After his death and a few years later she was introduce to Jack Ewaldt by long time friends Ruby and Veto Fontana and soon married and enjoyed many good years until his death in 2003.
Proceeded in death by her parents Otto Ray and Lora Franz, brother Otto Ray Franz Jr., sister Sibyl Wood, husbands C.C. Thomas, James J. Enwright, Jack Edwaldt, and stepsons Jerry and Jimmie Thomas.
She is survived by her sons Larry (Mona) Thomas of Katy, Texas, Lonnie Thomas (Joy) of Houston, Texas, step daughter Connie Gardner of Corpus Christi, Texas and grandsons Lance, Patrick, Kyle and James.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Seaside Memorial Park.
